The LAPTRUST IMARA I-REIT is Kenya’s first Pension Scheme listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and the fourth listed REIT in Kenya.
The Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange’s (NSE) Restricted Sub Segment of the main investment market. It is a closed-ended fund, that is, investors can only buy its securities in the secondary market.
LAPTRUST IMARA I-REIT is structured as a common law unincorporated trust divided into REIT Securities and is established through a Trust Deed and was authorized by the Capital Markets Authority on November 1, 2022 with a total of 346,231,413 authorized and issued shares.
The REIT was listed on the NSE on March 22, 2023 at KES 20.00 per Unit and trades as “LAPR”.
